Episode 1 of Horror Visual Novel ‘Cannibal Tales’ Available Now on Steam

Published

on

The big day has finally arrived for Fantastico Studio and Cannibal Tales, as Episode 1 of the horror visual novel is now available on Steam. As mentioned on the Cannibal Tales Steam page, Episode 1 is only the “beginning of a larger journey” for the team, as two episodes are set for release in 2025, culminating in a 3D Survival Horror game in 2026.

The release of Episode 1 coincides with the birthday of Cannibal Holocaust director Ruggero Deodato, who also penned the script for Cannibal Tales. “We’re deeply sorry we couldn’t share this moment with the master Ruggero Deodato, but we believe releasing the game on his birthday is a fitting tribute to him.”

In addition to working on the additional episodes, Fantastico Studio is in the process of bringing Cannibal Tales to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, as well as localization into other languages.

Cannibal Tales’ first episode, “The Interview”, sees a journalist named Helena determined to get a scoop that will allow her to become a partner at the newspaper. To do so, Helena decides to pursue a mystery surrounding Noah, a young survivor of metropolitan cannibal known as Price.

Aiming to unravel the connection between the two of them, and understand why Noah was spared, Helena presses for an interview. During the interview, the player’s morality will be put to the test as the line between good and evil grows increasingly blurred.

New Free Update for ‘Welcome to ParadiZe’ Adds Elite Zombies and New Equipment [Video]

Welcome to ParadiZe players will be pleased to know that Nacon and Eko Software have released a bunch of free content in a new update for the co-op zombie strategy game, bringing with it more powerful zombies and new equipment for you to craft. Not only that, but for those of you fence-sitters, the game is currently enjoying a 33% discount as part of Steam’s Open World Survival Crafting Fest until June 3.

The new update for Welcome to ParadiZe adds Elite zombie, which as you might expect, boast more health and are tougher to take down. Luckily, you can still hack these new Elite zombies to add to your Zombot army. You can even convert your Zombots into Elite Zombots!

Also included in the new update is a weapon and armor upgrade mechanic in the form of Booster Kits. These boosts are installed on an item through the inventory, with only one being applied at a time to an item. The plan is for these Booster Kits to be further developed and expanded upon in future updates.

There’s also a new Shield item that you can craft, which protects the player and zombot from frontal attacks. However, the player is only protected when aiming. There’s also new equipment for your Zombots in the form of a Radio Antenna, which imbues a passive regen effect on all allied Zombots, and a new Mortar, which fires rockets at surrounding foes.

The update also contains the usual tweaks and bug fixes, which are detailed on the news page. Welcome to ParadiZe is currently available for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
