‘Dave the Diver’ Adds ‘Godzilla’ as New Free DLC Crossover [Trailer]

Published

on

After a no-brainer DLC crossover with Lovecraftian fishing sim DREDGE that was released last year, MINTROCKET’s Dave the Diver is pulling another no-brainer with its next DLC: bringing the King of the Monsters himself, Godzilla, into the game as a free DLC. Available now, the DLC adds Godzilla-related content to Dave the Diver, along with some tweaks and bug fixes.

The story goes that G-Force has been following Godzilla, leading them to the depths of the Blue Hole. While doing his diving thing, Dave is confronted with Godzilla, injured and recovering from his wounds. It’s not long before one of Godzilla’s foes, the mutated crustacean Ebirah, shows up to cause trouble.

The Godzilla DLC adds three new missions that centre around the kaiju himself, along with new dishes inspired by Godzilla and Ebirah. You can also collect Godzilla figures that have been scattered throughout the ocean.

Now while the DLC is free, there’s a caveat in the form of availability. The DLC will only be available until November 23, 2024. After that, the DLC is gone. If you do download the DLC, it’s yours to keep after the distribution period ends. It also still remains yours even if you delete and reinstall it after November 23.

Dave the Diver is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch.

Upcoming “Unholy Alliance” Update for ‘Cult of the Lamb’ Adds Local Co-op and More [Teaser]

Published

on

Cult of the Lamb players will be getting more free goodies later this summer with the Unholy Alliance update. Coming August 12, the update introduces a brand new playable character in the Goat, which coincides with the game allowing local co-op.

With the Unholy Alliance update, the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign will be playable in local co-op. Players will also be able to enjoy special 2-player versions of existing mini-games, such as Fishing and Knucklebones, as well as choose from a selection of weapons, tarot cards, curses, and corrupted relics as your cooperative crusades progress.

The Lamb and Goat can also swap weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back to back, and even deliver a critical hit when their attacks are in sync. Good news for those who prefer to stay alone in their corner: they will be able to benefit from various new powers.

In addition to the addition of cooperative play, the Unholy Alliance expansion adds several tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, character traits and quests, as well as the addition of new secrets to discover.

More information on the update will be released as the launch date creeps closer. Cult of The Lamb is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.
