“Khaos Reigns” DLC for ‘Mortal Kombat 1’ Includes Ghostface, Conan, T-1000 And More [Trailer]
The datamining leak from last month turned out to be true. NetherRealm Studios head Ed Boon officially announced during MK1‘s SDCC panel that the upcoming Khaos Reigns DLC for Mortal Kombat 1 will bring in guest characters Ghostface, Conan the Barbarian and the T-1000. Along with the three guest characters, Sektor, Cyrax and Noob Saibot will also be part of the Khaos Reigns DLC. IGN broke the news, along with showing off the lineup of characters. Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns is set to release digitally on September 24. Pre-orders are open now.
After repelling the invaders who endangered Fire God Liu Kang’s New Era of peace, Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns expands the story campaign with an all-new cinematic narrative. When a perilous threat arrives from an alternate timeline, led by the ruthless Titan Havik whose sole mission is to throw the realms into khaos, Liu Kang must rally his champions and put faith in his enemies to defeat this grave danger. If they fail, the New Era will be reduced to anarchy.
Regarding the new kombatants, Khaos Reigns features the returning Noob Saibot, voiced by Kaiji Tang; Cyrax, voiced by Enuka Okuma; and Sektor, voiced by Erika Ishii, all with unique backstories as part of the reimagined Mortal Kombat 1 Universe. As Sub-Zero, Bi-Han was the Lin Kuei’s ruthless Grandmaster, but his soul was stolen by Titan Havik to create the perfect henchman, Noob Saibot, who is now dedicated to fomenting anarchy. Born into the Zaki, one of the Lin Kuei’s many sub-clans, Cyrax became a martial arts prodigy with an independent streak and untamed desire to serve the clan on her terms, or not at all. Growing up immersed in Lin Kuei culture under the tutelage of her parents, Sektor becomes a master armorer, skilled warrior, and Sub-Zero’s most trusted lieutenant, committed to advancing the clan’s future at all costs.
The new DLC also brings a new batch of guest fighters into the mix with Ghostface, who is voiced by Roger L. Jackson; the T-1000 featuring the voice and likeness of actor Robert Patrick; and Conan the Barbarian, featuring the likeness of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. No word on who will voice Conan, though it’s a safe bet that Chris Cox, who did the Terminator’s voice for Mortal Kombat 12, will be back as Conan.
That’s not all. Khaos Reigns will be bringing back Animalities as a free content update for all Mortal Kombat 1 owners. Animalities can be performed by all playable fighters and will be available in conjunction with the Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns release. Furthermore, all owners of Mortal Kombat 1 will receive a free MK 95 Scorpion character skin, inspired by the original Mortal Kombat film, available today.
Mortal Kombat 1 is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

‘Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse’ Whips up October 15 Release for PC, PS5 and Xbox [Trailer]
Konami and co-developers Evil Empire and Motion Twin have finally revealed more info on the upcoming Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, including a release date of October 15 release date for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. The Nintendo Switch version will arrive “later in 2026.”
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will be available in two versions: Standard and the Midnight Edition. Pre-orders are live now, sans Switch. The Midnight Edition includes:
- A copy of the game
- Digital Sound and Art Gallery, featuring over 100 illustrations, including concept art and sketches
- Bonus in-game items:
- Trevor costume
- Sypha costume
- Family’s Grace (Relic)

Pre-ordering either edition will earn players an Alucard costume.
Taking place in Paris, 1499, Belmont’s Curse will see Trevor Belmont’s and his daughter, Rose Belmont (as opposed to what Sony initially “revealed”), take on Dracula’s foes.
Paris is engulfed in flames as monstrous creatures suddenly emerge from the shadows. Trevor Belmont, the hero who defeated Dracula, ventures into the burning streets with his daughter, Rose Belmont. Armed with the legendary holy whip, the Vampire Killer, they hunt down the beasts bleeding from the looming castle. Rose is soon swept up in the dark conspiracy that lurks beneath. Will she succeed in saving Paris from devastation?
In addition to the Vampire Killer, Rose will have access to the Arcana System. After defeating bosses, including the likes of Medusa, Carmilla and Joan of Arc (?!), the bosses are sealed into Rose’s tarot cards, turning them into Arcana. Players can then use the bosses’ skills to cast spells and obtain unique special actions.
Players will also be able to customize Rose’s battle style by using a variety of equipment, including weapons spanning seven distinct categories and Relics that trigger powerful effects through both offense and defense.
