Ever since it was announced last year, solo developer LogDev has been working away on their Dino Crisis-inspired third-person shooter Paleophage. LogDev recently revealed a few updates to the development of Paleophage over on their Bluesky account, including a new mini trailer showing off some gameplay, as well as the appropriate Survival Horror mood.
Just in case you missed it, Paleophage casts you as one of two members of a CBRN detachment known as WYVERN Team. After an explosion at a conference centre where evacuees have shown symptoms of a mysterious illness, contact is lost with first responders at the scene. With the potential of a chemical or biological attack, you are dispatched to perform a search and rescue operation. What you find when you arrive is a Midwestern city overrun by dinosaurs.
As a result, Paleophage will see you battling prehistoric beasts through hotels, transit stations, parks and more. Depending on which character you choose, you’ll be armed with an arsenal unique to that character. The game also features a dynamic enemy encounter system that “ensures that no two playthroughs are exactly the same.” Paleophage will also feature extras like additional unlockable game modes and collectible creature models.
Here’s a new mini trailer for Paleophage, my Resident Evil and Dino Crisis inspired indie survival horror game.
Thanks to everyone’s support and feedback, there has been so much progress and so many updates to the game over the last few months, I figured it needed a new trailer.
