Those of you wanting to bring friend into the mix with Digital Cybercherries’ short horror experience “scare simulator” DON’T SCREAM are in luck. The developer has released a new expanded co-op version of the game in DON’T SCREAM TOGETHER, which is out now on Steam.
Described as “an experience about friendship, fear, and keeping your voice down,” DON’T SCREAM TOGETHER allows up to four players to team up to survive the night together by exploring, finding batteries for their camcorders, and speaking quietly through a forest that may or may not be haunted. As before, you’ll need to be aware of jump scares, because if anyone screams, everyone restarts.
To add even more fun, if you choose to play in the new “Hunted” mode, speaking too loudly will result in that player returning to the game as a playable hunter who can track, stalk, and intimidate the remaining team via proximity voice before finishing them off.
“The response to DON’T SCREAM TOGETHER since we announced the game has blown us away,” says Joe Henson, Creative Gameplay and Marketing Director at Digital Cybercherries. “The phenomenal amount of wishlists the game got in such a short time shows us that people really want this game and we are delighted to deliver it [to players]!”
