It was only a matter of time before that PlayStation 5 exclusivity agreement expired for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Sony revealed late last week that Kojima Productions’ follow-up to the 2019 original will be coming to Steam and the Epic Games Store next month on March 19.
And with the help of Nixxes Software, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach for PC will come with a variety of improvements and new features such as ultrawide monitor support, uncapped framerates, upscaling and more.
Existing PlayStation 5 users won’t be left out of the goodies, as Death Stranding 2 will also update for PC and PS5 on March 19 with new modes and features that will offer players new challenges and rewards. More info on said new features will be coming next month.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will launch on PC with Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions. The latter will include the following:
- Machine Gun [MP] (Lv1) early unlock
- Patch 70: Quokka
- Patch 71: Chiral Cat
- Patch 72: Why Me?
- Battle Skeleton: Gold (Lv1, Lv2, Lv3)
- Boost Skeleton: Gold (Lv1, Lv2, Lv3)
- Bokka Skeleton: Gold (Lv1, Lv2, Lv3)
In addition, those who pre-purchase the game now will also get the following:
- Custom Hologram: Quokka early unlock
- Battle Skeleton: Silver (Lv1, Lv2, Lv3)
- Boost Skeleton: Silver (Lv1, Lv2, Lv3)
- Bokka Skeleton: Silver (Lv1, Lv2, Lv3)
If that’s not enough, those who connect their PlayStation account to the PC version of Death Stranding 2 also get unique in-game design patches for backpack customization and an exclusive suit inspired by the PlayStation logo. You can also sign in with your account for PlayStation to gain access to the PlayStation overlay to earn PlayStation Trophies, access their Friends lists, settings and player profile.
