Developer Ocean Drive Studio has a two-for-one announcement for those prospective God Save Birmingham players. Not only has the devteam released a new gameplay video showing off new features coming to the game’s Closed Alpha Test later this month, but also you can now sign up for said Closed Alpha Test!
The Alpha Test consists of two phases: The first phase will be an exclusive opportunity for pre-alpha testers to check out what changes have been made to the physics-based survival horror title. The second phase will be expanded to more testers, though it will still remain a closed alpha. The first phase will kick off on February 19th, and last until February 23rd. From there, phase two will start on February 26, and go until March 2.
New testers will be selected from those who signed up, and will receive an e-mail containing the Steam alpha key before phase 2 testing begins
Meanwhile, the new gameplay trailer gives players a look at the new features in store for the game. This includes a whole host of new weapons, such as the limb-lopping Scythe, plus one-handed blunt weapons such as hammers and even pieces of meat that can batter the brainless into submission. The trailer also reveals a new guide system to help new and returning players navigate the early sections of the game, as well as crafting and destruction systems, and the ability to barricade doors against the Brummie zombie horde.
