Italian solo dev theJameskrik delves into a dystopian world of narrow deadlines and procrastination in their latest title, Side Hustle. A short (~1 hour) horror adventure, Side Hustle is out now on Steam with a time-limited discount. But if you’d prefer to try before you buy, the demo is also available.
The story is simple: You work for the Side Hustle program, specifically in their Android Processing Center. Your goal (over the course of five days) is to earn enough credits to obtain the prestigious citizenship of the City of Light. In order to do that, you’ll need to disassemble defective androids to recycle their parts into Tetra-Mat, special high-density matter containers.
Is the complete solitude and atmosphere of the disposal facility getting to you? Not to worry! You can also use the credits you’ve earned to purchase non-intrusive accessories to improve your work efficiency. All the while, you can read about the amazing opportunities that await you in the City of Light.
Oh, and don’t feel bad about dismembering the androids. They don’t feel any pain.
