Multi-Perspective Psychological Horror Game ‘Dread Neighbor’ Launches May 7 [Trailer]

Developer Ghostcase has announced a May 7 release on Steam for its psychological horror game Dread Neighbor. And if you can’t wait (and you’ve already polished off the Dread Neighbor demo), the devs have a treat in the form of new DLC for the first game in the series, Dread Flats, which will arrive two weeks earlier on April 30.

Expanding upon the demo, the full release of Dread Neighbor will feature multi-perspective storytelling, new indoor and outdoor locations, as well as intense chase sequences.

The game places players in an unnervingly quiet old apartment building. As a young woman trying to save money, the building has a strange tension about it. Your daily routine—taking out the trash, feeding your cat, commuting to work—seems ordinary, but something sinister quietly seeps into your life.

At first, it’s nothing more than a feeling: Someone is watching you. Whether through the crack of the wardrobe, the darkness beneath the bed, or the hole in the wall where something unseen lurks—this persistent gaze slowly warps your reality.

Dread Neighbor offers a twisted and extreme projection of the very real fear many people feel while living alone,” said developer ghostcase. “It evolves from a contained, oppressive experience into a more layered and complete psychological horror journey as you play.”
