Kinetic Games is still pulling out surprises for Phasmophobia, announcing a collaboration with Remedy Entertainment and Alan Wake 2 in a limited-time free event next month. Revealed during the Twitch Galaxies Showcase, the first-ever crossover for Phasmophobia will kick off on May 12, and run through June 2. More details will be shared leading up to the event.
In this event, elements of Alan Wake 2 begin to surface within Phasmophobia’s investigations, introducing new supernatural encounters and reshaping familiar locations.
“Working with Remedy has been an incredible experience, and the way these two worlds overlap has opened up some unsettling possibilities that we’re excited for players to explore,” said Daniel Knight, CEO of Kinetic Games. “It’s a natural crossover, and our art team has been hard at work capturing the atmosphere of Alan Wake 2, bringing the essence of some of the game’s iconic locations into Phasmophobia. We can’t wait for fans of both games to see what the event has in store on May 12.”
“There are many fans of Phasmophobia at Remedy, so it was a thrilling opportunity to bring these two horror worlds together,” said Sam Lake, Creative Director at Remedy Entertainment. “It was a joy to write for this collaboration. As Alan Wake writes a new manuscript in the depths of the Dark Place, the paranormal investigators of Phasmophobia find themselves trapped in a horror story. Our two twisted worlds amplify each other perfectly.”
Meanwhile, Phasmophobia continues its run in Early Access, leading up to its eventual full release later this year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam
