Inspired by ‘The Exit 8’, Anomaly Horror Game ‘Table 9’ Launches June 9 [Trailer]

Looking to capitalize on The Exit 8,  solo developer UsamaIndieDev has been working on their own twist in the formula with Table 9, a short first-person psychological horror game set inside a looping late-night European-style specialty cafe. You won’t have to wait long for it, as the game will launch June 9 on Steam.

In Table 9, the routine is familiar: take the orders from nine tables and deliver coffee to all tables in sequence. All the while, you must inspect the cafe, and decide what to do with the receipt. The cafe does not stay the same. Watch the room, the decor, and the customers carefully. If something has changed, throw the receipt away. If everything looks normal, pin it and move forward.

Every correct delivery pushes your run forward. One wrong decision sends the player back to the start of the shift.

“I love the cozy specialty cafes in Barcelona, and I wanted to take that comfort and slowly make it feel wrong,” explains UsamaIndieDev. “Table 9 is about paying attention to small details, trusting your memory, and feeling that little doubt when you ask yourself if the room really looked like this before.”

And if you need a break from the stress, you can always step behind the bar and practice latte art before heading back onto the floor.
