Add another horror party game to your list with ArtDock’s Hands Over. Slated to release on Steam, five players compete in tests of luck and nerve, where you’ll need to use bluffs and dirty tactics in order to sabotage your friends and try to stay in the game. All the while, every turn puts someone under pressure.
The game sees players trapped in a cruel show, where they have to take their seats and face warped versions of minigames. The rules are simple: In front of you is a device with numerous teeth. Press the teeth one by one. However, one of the teeth is the wrong one. The results of pressing the wrong one are rather gruesome.
Between turns, players use influence cards to change the odds, protect themselves, sabotage opponents and trigger chaotic events. A bluff can throw you or anyone at the table off their game. A safe move can become a disaster in seconds. A desperate player can turn the whole table against someone else. Each card can save you, break someone else’s plan or turn a safe-looking move into a problem.
Should you fail, a bad move can cost you a hand, knock you out of the round, shift the balance at the table and turn the whole match against you.
