Escape Chilling Monstrosities in Survival Horror RPG ‘THERMOCLINE’, Coming This Winter to PC [Trailer]

Chilly survival horror RPG action is headed your way later this year with Decent Treatment and publisher SEMICOLON’s THERMOCLINE. Best of all, the game will be free! THERMOCLINE will launch on PC via Steam and itch.io this winter, with the game also making its way to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and the Switch 2 soon after.

Details on the game are still to come, but the story has you stranded in the middle of a blizzard upon a “frigid corpse-planet” known as C9 CRPSE-19. Making matters worse, you’re not alone. “They” seek your warmth from the darkness, which as one might guess, is not a good thing. Along with avoiding “them”, you’ll also be uncovering the mysteries of the planet’s abandoned infrastructure.

Sporting a character-driven psychological horror narrative that sees you fighting off grafted monstrosities, THERMOCLINE features turn-based battles that are described as an”expansive, challenging take on the classic style” of turn-based strategy games with “modern sensibilities.”

Seeing as this is also a survival horror title, you must also manage your fuel and temperature in this freezing wasteland. Speaking of which, the game features hand-drawn environments which “forbode your impending doom,” as well as sports a soundtrack by Fear & Hunger composer Chilly Makes Music.

And as mentioned, THERMOCLINE will be 100% free to play, as according to the devs, it’s being done “for the love of the artform.”
