Bethesda and id took to the Xbox Games Showcase today, revealing that DOOM: The Dark Ages will be getting a new expansion in Revelations. Coming July 7, the expansion promises to unleash ” a brutal new chapter of the Slayer’s saga,” with “deeper puzzles, new demons, and new mysteries”, and an “all-new deadly Chain Spear” that aim to “open up a whole new dimension of combat.”

Wounded and betrayed, the Slayer is thrust into a merciless purgatory only escapable by confronting haunting truths and forging new strength with the help of a mysterious ally. Also included is the highly anticipated Ripatorium 3.0, adding DLC content (3 new maps, new demons, and fully upgraded new weapons) plus deeper customization, improved pass code generation, and saving + loading personal presets.

Revelations will be available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and the PC via Steam, but won’t be available for Xbox Game Pass. However, if you own the Premium Edition or the Premium Upgrade, you’ll be able to grab it. Read Aaron’s thoughts on DOOM: The Dark Ages here.
