Epoch Media Studios is entering the asymmetrical multiplayer arena with Soul Walker, a 3v1 horror title produced by Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski that’s coming to PC via Steam and Xbox. Built around a sound-based gameplay system, the game challenges players to survive a cinematic nightmare where silence is the only shield and every noise can lead the hunter directly to you.
In Soul Walker, three survivors are trapped inside a hostile, sound-sensitive world and hunted by the Soul Walker, an ancient blind entity that reacts exclusively to noise. Every footstep, dropped object, environmental interaction, and sudden mistake can become a signal that draws the creature closer. To escape, players must work together through tense trials, solve puzzles, navigate dangerous environments, and carefully manage the sounds they create.
Survival is never simple, unfortunately. While teamwork may be the safest path forward, the game introduces hidden roles, shifting trust, and moments where self-preservation can outweigh loyalty. Players must decide when to help others, when to stay silent, and when betrayal may be the only way to survive.
Players will face high-pressure set pieces that test communication, patience, and nerve. Whether crossing rooms filled with shattered glass, activating loud machinery, or escaping danger while trying not to panic, every match becomes a strategic balance between movement, sound, and risk.
The world of Soul Walker is designed to keep players off-balance, with evolving threats, unpredictable player dynamics, and encounters that change based on how survivors behave. No two matches unfold the same way, creating a relentless cycle of tension.
