On the heels of the release of Lies of P: Complete Edition on the Nintendo Switch 2, NEOWIZ has taken the opportunity to release a a behind-the-scenes look at the development process on Lies of P on the official Lies of P YouTube channel. The “Games by Gamers” documentary explores NEOWIZ and NOUGH Studio’s development philosophy and ongoing process as they strive to top the success of Lies of P and its prequel DLC, Lies of P: Overture.
The 16-minute documentary provides a detailed look at the development culture at NOUGH Studio (formerly Round8 Studio) with the NOUGH Live internal milestone streams and Game Day playtesting sessions, where the entire development team and director Jiwon Choi play the game together to validate the game structure.
The documentary also touches on the studio’s development philosophy and production approach, centered on the catchphrase ‘Games by Gamers.’ This offers a glimpse into NOUGH Studio’s unique dedication to viewing games from a gamer’s perspective and continuously refining the gameplay experience to achieve a high level of polish.
The video concludes with a message from the development team and their pledge to fans awaiting the upcoming title: “You won’t be disappointed, we promise. This is the truth, not a lie.”
The last line is most likely in reference to the studio’s next title, which they revealed back in December 2024 that they were currently hiring for their next project, which is a survival horror title for PC and consoles.
In addition to the Switch 2, Lies of P is currently available on PC via Steam, the PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series.
