Coinciding with this year being the 10th anniversary of the launch of the original Sally Face, developer Portable Moose has finally announced that a sequel is on the way. Sally Face 2 will launch in Early Access for PC via Steam, with consoles and mobile ports to come at a later date.
Much like the original game, Sally Face 2 will be released episodically. “One thing I learned from the original Sally Face is that having multiple separate builds (base game + DLC/Season Pass X operating systems) added a lot of extra headaches for development and also some confusion for players,” explains creator Steve Gabry. “Launching in Early Access should help alleviate those issues by allowing us to have fewer builds and clearer purchase options. Within Early Access, our goal will be to launch one episode at a time, while fixing any bugs that come up in-between.”
The game will see players guiding Sal and his three friends through a dark world devoid of hope and filled with mind-breaking terror. With everything falling apart and death bringing no solace, Sally Face 2 asks, “What’s left to hold on to?”
Continuing the frightening blend of unimaginable horror drawn from nightmares and classic 90s cartoons with each character, enemy, and environment, players will see themselves lost in a sinister post-apocalypse world. You’ll uncover a story of lost hope and darkness where no one is safe, and each revelation is more shocking than the last. Fight for survival by solving challenging puzzles and cryptic brain teasers to bring more revelations and mystery to the game’s world. For those looking for a smoother, more forgiving experience, Sally Face 2 will feature a hint system.
In addition to Steam, the original Sally Face can be found on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and GOG.
