Pose as Your Victims’ Friend by Wearing Their Face in Dark Hitman Game ‘SKINFACE’ [Trailer]

Ever wanted to indulge your inner Leatherface by stealing someone’s face, but didn’t want to get your hands dirty with all of that cannibalism? Co-devs Adam Pype (SPOOKWARE, No Players Online) and Ties Groen (Town to City, No Players Online) have just the thing with their upcoming title SKINFACE. Originally conceived as an itch.io prototype, SKINFACE will launch later this year on Steam, though you can check out the demo now!

In this retro-inspired horror game set in dark soviet-era apartment complexes, you are a gun for hire. But in order to carry out your work, you’ll need to gain your target’s trust. What better way than to mix and match face parts to impersonate their friend, piece by piece? Attack strangers, peel off their facial features, and build a skin mask that’ll win your target’s trust.

Of course, you’ll still need to evade the police, all the while convincing your target to open the door. Once the deed is done, it’s on to the next job. However, there’s more to this process than meets the eye. The devs state that the full game will have 2-3 hours of playtime, but there will be even more for completionists.

And if you’re at Gamescom later this week, you can pop by the Indie Arena Booth in Koelnmesse in Hall 10.2 to try out SKINFACE at the team’s booth, as well as say “hi” to the devs.
