Psychological Horror Game ‘FIRE AND ASHES’ Launches October 14

Psychological horror is coming your way next week when ASDstudio and publisher Antelus Games’ FIRE AND ASHES launches on October 14 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series.

Set in 1977, the story centers around Henry Gray, who regains consciousness in a bathtub inside a psychiatric ward. Blood is everywhere—but it isn’t his. It soon becomes clear that the hospital has turned into a trap, and the events unfolding are tied to a tragedy from Henry’s past.

As the narrative progresses, it gradually moves beyond the asylum’s walls. Henry finds himself in grim locations connected to his past, where the line between reality and madness grows ever more blurred. Enemies include deranged patients, cannibals, ghosts, victims of brutal experiments, cybernetic creations, and other otherworldly beings.

Alongside the psychological horrors you’ll encounter in the game, one of the standout features of FIRE AND ASHES revolves around sound. Using voice recognition technology, the game reacts to your breathing, whispering, and panic. Sound becomes both a tool and a threat—being too loud can draw enemies straight to you.

Progressing through the game involves solving puzzles and piecing together fragments of the story to reconstruct what really happened. However, danger doesn’t come only from the ghosts and supernatural entities that lurk in the hospital. You’ll also face human (and inhuman) enemies in the other patients, but also the hospital’s guards and the hospital’s own experiments.
