“Lobby Doors Open Update” for ‘Escape From Playtime’ Adds Public Lobbies, Additional Lore and More

It’s been a week since Mob Entertainment released Escape From Playtime, and the devteam has already dropped a new update for the co-op Poppy Playtime spin-off. In addition, the team has also released an early roadmap of new content and features for fans to look forward to during the game’s stay in Early Access.

After listening to player feedback, the devteam has introduced public lobbies, where instead of mandated group play and lobby codes, the update makes it easy for players to queue, find a group, or set up their own lobby, with group sizes of 2-8 players. The update also updates session and shift timing, balancing the difficulty for smaller groups to be able to complete shifts in full.

And of course, for those who love lore, the update adds plenty of it! Search every nook and cranny again and AGAIN, as 12 more mysterious notes have been scattered around the factory, along with strange posters on the walls and seemingly random VHS tapes that can also be discovered throughout the facility. But who put them there, and to what end?

Meanwhile, the roadmap for Escape From Playtime shows the game will see further cosmetics updates, as well as new items, areas and more.

Escape From Playtime is available in Steam Early Access, with a limited-time 10% launch discount until November 4. Players who own the free-to-play Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1 will receive an additional 10% off.
