Swing Your Sword! The ‘Final Fantasy VII’ Battle Music Gets A Dual Acoustic Guitar Cover
If you were to ask me what some of the greatest video games of all time were, I’d definitely put Final Fantasy VII near the top of that list. I can’t even begin to tell you how many hours I sunk into that game. All I know is that it hit me in ways that few games since could even try. The locations, the characters, the storyline, and, as you probably guessed, the incredible music by composer Nobuo Uematsu. It all coalesced into something out of this world, resulting in one of those gaming experiences that never leaves you and is nearly impossible to match.
One of my favorite cues in the game was the “Battle Music” theme, which had that fantastic triumphant militaristic chorus. Play it once for me and it’s stuck in my head for days. And that’s why I got so excited when I saw YouTubers Super Guitar Bros and their dual acoustic guitar cover of the track.
