Why Do Modern Action Movies Suck? (Video)
I roll my eyes every single time somebody I know tries to tell me about this “incredible burger you have to try.” I mean, who the fuck are they to push a burger on me? That’s just my mentality when someone tries to play authority with me.
The same goes for a YouTube user who makes a video breaking down the problem with action movies today.
Chris Stuckmann was the latest to endure a Miska-scoff heard ’round the world. Only, when I finished watching his video, I gave it a standing ovation. Maybe I think too little of people I don’t know, and that’s a problem because there are some extraordinary thinkers out there. This video is proof. You really want to understand cinema better? Watch the below and learn something about the importance of making your protagonist fallible. In my reviews I often cite John McClane and Ripley as examples, while Stuckmann takes it a bit further. Bravo!

John Massari Presents the 3rd Annual Killer Klowns Punk Rock Fest This Saturday in Gardena, CA!
The 1980s cult classic Killer Klowns from Outer Space has popped back up on our radar this week, with a special fan event taking place in Gardena, California this coming Saturday.
John Massari, the composer of the iconic score for Killer Klowns from Outer Space, presents the 3rd annual Killer Klowns Punk Rock Fest at Gardena Cinema on Saturday, July 11!
The special event will include live music as well as a 38th anniversary screening of Killer Klowns from Outer Space with an introduction from composer John Massari himself.
Also included is a rare screening of Mike Jittlov’s The Wizard of Speed and Time (1988), as well as a Killer Klowns cosplay contest with a grand prize 3-day, 2-night stay in Vegas.
The live bands include Radioactive Chicken Heads, S8NT Elektric, and Sik Sik Siks, with a special guest appearance from Leonard Graves Phillips of The Dickies.
It’s taking place Saturday, July 11, from 2-10:30 PM at Gardena Cinema in Gardena, CA.
