Full ‘Human Centipede 3’ Trailer Is 500X More Insane (and Accurate)!
With the May 22nd release just weeks away, IFC Midnight just sent Bloody Disgusting the full trailer for Tom Six’s absolutely insane looking Human Centipede Part 3 (Final Sequence).
As we all know, the third film in the trilogy assembles a 500-person centipede. Other details were thin, until now. We finally have a full picture as to how Six is involved, and it’s spectacular. Since Six swears that his films are 100% medically accurate, he’s brought into a prison to help assemble the aforementioned 500-person ‘pede. I know a lot of people are turned off by the franchise, but I think this is some spectacular looking shit that tip-toes a fine line between art and The Room. I cannot wait until May 22nd!
Dieter Laser and Laurence R. Harvey, who played the villains Dr. Heiter and Martin in the first and second films, respectively, are featured. Eric Roberts, Robert LaSardo, Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister, Bree Olson, and director Tom Six also star. You’ll see them all in the footage that Six promises is “100 percent politically incorrect.”
“Bully prison warden Bill Boss (Dieter Laser), leading a big state prison in the US of A, has a lot of problems; his prison statistically has the highest amount of prison riots, medical costs and staff turnover in the country. But foremost he is unable to get the respect he thinks he deserves from his inmates and the state Governor (Eric Roberts). He constantly fails in experimenting with different ideas for the ideal punishment to get the inmates in line, which drives him, together with the sizzling heat, completely insane.
Under threats of termination by the Governor, his loyal right hand man Dwight (Laurence R Harvey) comes up with a brilliant idea. A revolutionary idea which could change the American prison system for good and save billions of dollars. An idea based on the notorious ‘Human Centipede’ movies, that will literally and figuratively get the inmates on their knees, creating the ultimate punishment and deterrent for anyone considering a life of crime. Having nothing to lose, Bill and Dwight create a jaw-dropping 500-person prison centipede.”
Described as “Ted meets ET,” David Mikalson’s raunchy comedy Goblin is being brought to life over at A24, and Will Forte (“The Four Seasons”) is now in talks to star.
Deadline first reported the news this afternoon.
Kenneth Branagh has been cast to voice the titular Goblin in the upcoming A24 movie, with the character said to be “green-colored” as well as “anatomically correct.”
Skyler Gisondo (Superman) is reportedly playing the Goblin’s human best friend.
The mysterious project sounds a bit like films including A Gnome Named Gnorm and more recently, Frankie Freako, though it’s important to note that it’s not billed as a horror movie.
Deadline details, “After [Mikalson] hatched the idea to make an outrageous buddy comedy about a goblin, using a practical puppet and operating outside the Hollywood system, his script quickly got him a rep team. While others might have eyed the raunchy comedy as a writing sample or planned to wait to see the micro-budget version Mikalson has been directing in Kentucky, A24 jumped all over it. The hot indie essentially has agreed to finance a full feature.”
“There was a lot of interest, but A24 came with what Mikalson really wanted, after spending all his money crafting the puppet title character: they acquired the movie and agreed to let him make it with a significantly increased budget than what he had left after creating the anatomically correct title character,” Deadline’s report goes on to explain.
What does the titular Goblin actually look like? Well, a cake that Mikalson had whipped up for his reps might give us our first look at what to expect. Deadline explains the photo you’ll see down below, “Take a look at the cake he commissioned with Marc Gravelle at Cake Art in West Hollywood, to present to his reps as thanks for making his dream come true.”
