Groovy Additional “Ash vs Evil Dead” Teaser Trailers!
An hour ago we dropped the second teaser trailer for the Starz original series, “Ash vs Evil Dead,” which revved up the return of Bruce Campbell as Ash, the hero from Sam Raimi’s The Evil Dead franchise.
Now, we have a second (and third) teaser that, while features the same footage, drops the line Evil Dead fans have been dying to hear: “Groovy.”
In the 10-episode “Ash vs Evil Dead” series premiering this fall, Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.”
Raimi is directing the first episode of “Ash vs Evil Dead”.

In addition to an Absolute Batman animated adaptation, Warner Bros. Animation and DC have also announced brand new anime series “Joker: Laugh Riot” this morning.
Here’s the official logline for “Joker: Laugh Riot”…
“When Batman is murdered, the Joker launches a ruthless crusade through Gotham’s underworld to find the killer who took away his greatest adversary.
“But as his violent quest for answers pushes him closer towards vigilante than villain, Joker is forced to confront the truth that without Batman, he doesn’t know who he is.”
Yasuhuro Aoki will direct “Joker: Laugh Riot.”
Jim Krieg (“Watchmen”) is executive producing the Joker anime series. Japan’s Sola Entertainment is working with DC and Warner Bros. Animation on the upcoming series.
