“Scream” Promo Is This Summer’s Biggest Bloodbath
In the second promo for the second episode of MTV’s “Scream,” a new murder shakes up the town, while the kids point fingers, one promises there are more murders to come. Shit, look at the above screen grab – the plot is definitely thickening!

The cast of “Scream” includes Willa Fitzgerald, Taylor-Klaus, Bobby Campo, Connor Weil and Joel Gretsch.
While neither Trace nor myself hated the debut pilot presentation, we were both left disappointed and hoping for more in the coming episodes (read my review; here’s Trace’s review).
In “Scream,” “After a cyber-bullying incident results in a brutal murder, the shocking violence stirs up memories of a killing spree from the past that has haunted some, intrigued others and maybe just inspired a new killer. A group of teens – with two old friends struggling to reconnect at its heart – become lovers, enemies, suspects, targets and victims of a killer who’s out for blood.“
Pop culture icon “RoboCop” is coming back online with a new series based on the classic dystopian sci-fi action film, and Prime Video has officially ordered the project to series.
Variety reports, “Prime Video has given the show an eight-episode order. The project has been in development since Amazon acquired MGM in 2022, with Amazon looking to capitalize on their access to MGM’s deep IP library for both film and television projects.”
In the upcoming series, “A giant tech conglomerate convinces the city to place a powerful robot on its police force – a robot implanted with the consciousness of a beloved, fallen officer.”
Peter Ocko will be the writer and showrunner, with James Wan executive producing for Blumhouse Atomic Monster. RoboCop co-creator Ed Neumeier is an executive producer.
“I’ve been a massive fan of RoboCop forever, so getting to help bring this world to television is a dream,” said Wan. “What Paul Verhoeven created in 1987 was decades ahead of its time, and its questions about technology, identity, and who corporations really serve have only grown more urgent.
“With Peter’s distinctive vision and bold approach to storytelling, and alongside Ed and our partners at Amazon MGM Studios, we’re working to honor what made the original iconic and highlight its relevancy in this modern, tech-driven world, while building something unmistakably new for a global audience.”

Paired with the cinematic sensibility of James Wan and the team at Blumhouse Atomic Monster, we believe this series will captivate a whole new generation of fans on Prime Video.”
It’s now been over ten years since the most recent installment in the RoboCop franchise, that film of course being the 2014 remake, but the property certainly hasn’t gone anywhere in the years since. For starters, video game RoboCop: Rogue City released a couple years back, and the comprehensive documentary series RoboDoc was recently released onto SCREAMBOX.
This won’t be the first time RoboCop has gotten his own TV series. After three films in the franchise back in 1994, you may recall, RoboCop debuted on the small screen. Produced by Canada’s Skyvision Entertainment, RoboCop: The Series starred Richard Eden in the title role. An 89-minute pilot aired in two parts in March, followed by 21 one-hour episodes.
On the film front, the most recent RoboCop project to pop up was a planned film titled RoboCop Returns, set to be directed by Abe Forsythe (Little Monsters). That project, however, is likely no more now that Amazon is bringing the franchise back with a TV series.
