“Books, I don’t need. A fucking four-barrel shotgun is more like it!”
While we wait for release plans to be announced for Phantasm: Ravager, the fifth film in the Phantasm franchise, a new international trailer has made its way online via a Russian website.
The trailer begins with chatter of multiple universes before settling into a clip from the film, directed this time by David Hartman.
The footage is actually pretty frightening as original cast member Kathy Lester floats eerily towards franchise star Reggie Bannister setting up quite the scare! It then segues into a montage of footage that looks like a CGI explosion – with that said, it appears to serve the story nicely and take things to an entirely new level of bonkers!
Phantasm: Ravager, which will be the fifth and final entry in Don Coscarelli’s classic horror Phantasm series, features Reggie Bannister (a veteran of all five films) in his decades long pursuit of the malevolent Tall Man, and it finally forces him to confront the mysteries at the heart of the Phantasm saga. The entire original cast is back including Michael Baldwin, Bill Thornbury, Kathy Lester and Angus Scrimm, along with some great new characters.
