I used to be obsessed with “Scooby-Doo,” one of the best cartoons ever made.
Shrouded in horror-themed mysteries, the toon has become synonymous with the “twist” endings in which a local ends up being the phantom, and blames the “meddling kids” for catching them.
Even after decades of cartoons, and several movies, it’s shocking to me that nobody has out-twisted “Scooby-Doo.”
What do I mean by this?
M. Night Shyamalan would be proud of Amalgam Studios’ short spoof entitled “Scooy-Doo, Where Are You?” in ‘Velma Dinkley: Final Girl.’
The short stars Lauren Bregman as Velma who finds Fred (William Sterling) and Daphne (Amanda Lynne Shafer) dead in The Mystery Machine, killed by The Phantom Prankster (Sidney Cumbie).
But what about Shaggy (Shaughn Buchholz)…and Scooby-Doo!?
