I Like This Fan-cut ‘Ghostbusters’ Trailer Better

I really liked Sony’s trailer for Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters, with my only real complaint being that it was long.

Reddit user Bevan Bell agreed, taking matters into his own hands.

Below you’ll find a super taut 51-second long Ghostbusters 2016 trailer that cuts to the chase: After some establishing shots of New York City the ladies come across the Library Ghost in an homage to the original film. Then, the characters are fully introduced, with a voice over explaining the spooks and ghost busting equipment. Insert montage of fun and smash-cut to a joke. Oh, and it has the original score, which makes a huge difference.

This isn’t to say the studio’s trailer was bad; creating a promo is an art form in itself and we have no idea what Sony is trying to sell. All I know is that I prefer everything to get to the point. This fan-made trailer does exactly that…
