“There is an idea of Margot Robbie, some kind of abstraction,” says Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn in DC’s Suicide Squad.
The video is a spoof on Mary Harron’s 2000 adaptation of American Psycho, which featured Christian Bale as the maniac Patrick Bateman.
Here, Robbie takes on the scene in which Bateman obsesses over his routine to perfection:
“…there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable, I simply am not there.”
Interestingly enough, the video was directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, known for Paranormal Activity 3 and the upcoming Viral!
