SAW and Insidious co-creator Leigh Whannell returns to the director’s chair with BH Tilt’s Upgrade, a new sci-fi horror thriller that stars Prometheus‘ Logan Marshall-Green as a man who is upgraded to become the ultimate killing machine. The film is promised to be ultra-violent and give heavy homage to classic sci-fi horror films from RoboCop to Hardware.

Ahead of this Friday’s June 1st release, Bloody Disgusting is excited to present Whannell’s “Top 5 80’s Sci-Fi Movie Deaths”, which continues today with a look back at John Carpenter‘s The Thing (1982).

“[The Thing is] probably the best effects movie of all time. [It] holds up flawlessly,” Whannell explains in the following video, in which he reenacts his favorite death scene.
