Taco Bell’s Cinematic New Nacho Fries Commercial is… a Prequel to ‘Demolition Man’?!
As you may recall, Sandra Bullock explains to Sylvester Stallone in 1993’s sci-fi/action film Demolition Man, set in the year 2032, that Taco Bell was the only restaurant to survive the “franchise wars,” meaning that literally every restaurant in the film’s future world is, well, Taco Bell.
At this year’s San Diego Comic Con, specifically from Thursday, July 19 to Saturday, July 21, Taco Bell will be paying tribute to the 25th anniversary of Demolition Man with a limited time pop-up shop dubbed Taco Bell 2032: Demolition Man Experience, a recreation of the futuristic Taco Bell seen in the film!
As a tie-in with that pop-up experience and the limited time return of their Nacho Fries, Taco Bell has just unveiled Web of Fries II: Franchise Wars, a sequel to their Web of Fries commercial that essentially serves as, believe it or not, a prequel to Demolition Man!
“When you create a fake trailer for a fake movie for a real product that surpasses all expectations of products (and movie trailers), it seems inevitable that you have to create a sequel,” explains Marisa Thalberg, Taco Bell’s chief brand officer. “And what better way to tease this sequel than pay homage to a real movie’s 25th anniversary—one that had a very compelling view of a fictional future?”

Psychological Survival Horror Title ‘Puppet House’ Announced for Later This Year [Teaser]
Tropes like haunted houses and possessed dolls are a dime a dozen in horror. But darn it, they’re by and large a lot of fun. Developers Vecube Studio and Spirit Games Studio certainly think so, as they’ve teamed with publisher Gaming Factory to bring us both in Puppet House. Slated for release later this year on Steam, this psychological horror title sees you roaming the mansion of a deceased ventriloquist (or is he?) in search of answers.
In Puppet House, you will take on the role of Rick Evans, a photographer whose interest in haunted places has led him to Field Town, and the home of Peter Hill, an famed ventriloquist who has long since departed this life. Everyone in the town talked about the place, many of them even tried to get inside. Articles have been written about disappearances and screams coming from the walls of the abandoned house, and Rick aims to clear the air about these stories.
From the initial sounds of things, Puppet House will rely on the atmosphere of the old mansion as you wander about the place. However, you soon realize that you’re not the only one in the mansion. As you make your way through the place, solving the various puzzles and avoiding whatever it is that you sense, you’ll happen upon notes and articles that bring you closer to the truth about Peter Hill and his mansion. However, as you might expect, some secrets are best left hidden.
