A new promo for New Line Cinema’s Corin Hardy-directed The Nun goes straight for the jugular. Instead of a typical trailer-like promo, it acts more as a clip that delivers one helluva a good scare. This Friday can’t come soon enough!
In The Nun, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate the death of a young nun in Romania and confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun.
Bonnie Aarons reprises her Conjuring 2 role as the title character, which means more physical horror and less CGI, said Hardy.
The Nun stars Oscar-nominated Demian Bichir (“A Better Life”) as Father Burke, Taissa Farmiga (TV’s “American Horror Story”) as Sister Irene, Jonas Bloquet (Elle) as local villager Frenchie, Charlotte Hope (TV’s “Game of Thrones”) as the abbey’s Sister Victoria and Ingrid Bisu (“Toni Erdmann”) as Sister Oana.
After haunting the Warrens in The Conjuring 2, the creepy demonic Nun will be haunting theaters September 7, 2018.
