DJ Jazzy Jeff Has Uploaded a Much Clearer Version of the Freshly Unearthed “Nightmare on My Street” Music Video

One of this past Halloween season’s coolest treats was the totally unexpected unearthing of The Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff’s long lost music video for the unofficial Nightmare on Elm Street song “Nightmare on My Street, which was finally unleashed for public viewing. Unfortunately, it was a super low-quality video, but it was good enough for us.

Long story short, the song was at one point going to be featured in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, but New Line ultimately ended up pulling the plug and filing a lawsuit that spelled death for the music video. Reportedly, the video was destroyed.

Of course, as it turns out, it wasn’t actually destroyed, and now DJ Jazzy Jeff‘s official Vevo account on YouTube has uploaded a much higher quality version of the retro video. In it, a young Will Smith battles “Freddy Krueger” in his nightmares after a night out at the movies. It’s not actually Freddy, however, but rather a bizarre Frankenstein/Freddy hybrid monster.

Many thanks to @CodyBlacksmith_ for the heads up!
