You’ve surely heard DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince’s “A Nightmare on My Street,“ a rap song about Freddy Krueger that has become the stuff of internet legend. Mostly, that is, because the song actually did spawn a music video… one that has *never* been seen.
While the song is obviously about Freddy, even sampling Charles Bernstein’s iconic theme, it’s not actually an officially licensed part of the Elm Street universe. At one point, the song was going to be featured in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, but New Line ultimately ended up pulling the plug and filing a lawsuit that spelled death for the music video.
Reportedly, the video was destroyed entirely, so we’ve never seen it and likely never will. But this Halloween season, incredibly rare images from the set of the video have surfaced!
Brought to our attention by Movie Web, the set photos have been shared by Gregory W. Harrison, the site noting that he was the video’s director and production designer.
