So many different Friday the 13th fan films have been popping up in the wake of the official franchise being killed (at least for now) by rights issues, most recently including Friday the 13th: Vengeance and Voorhees. Our friends over at Friday the 13th: The Franchise just brought another one to our attention today, and it’s looking pretty promising.
Titled Jason Rising, this particular fan film comes from the team of James Sweet, Karl Whinnery and Robert Blanche, and they’re seeking $30,000 to make their project a reality.
“Jason Rising is a story about Officer Pete Daltry on the hunt of a fugitive on the run after escaping from the Wessex County corrections farm and headed in the direction of Camp Crystal Lake. He is accompanied by two agents from the fugitive recovery team but when they enter the hollowed grounds of the camp they find out they are the hunted.”
