Arriving in limited theaters and VOD platforms today is Josh Lobo’s indie debut I Trapped the Devil, Christmas-set psychological horror focuses on a man’s descent into paranoia, after he traps what he believes to be the devil in his basement.
In this exclusive clip, A.J. Bowen (You’re Next, A Horrible Way to Die, The Signal) has a panicked conversation with Southbound’s Susan Burke in which he reveals that Scott Poythress (The Signal) has a man trapped in the basement. Upon exiting, they all exchange awkward glances.
Meagan reviewed the film for Bloody, calling it “a slow-burn tale of paranoia and familial obligation that does crawl out of the gate but crescendos in one satisfying ending.”
The film reminded us both of the classic “Twilight Zone” episode “The Howling Man”, which you’ll get a glimpse of in the trailer.
