[World of Death] Admire “Killer Kart”, “Strange Harvest”, and “Quitter”
Happy July World of Deathers! This month I specially curated an episode full of crazy, weird, silly, and eerie content that I hope you all enjoy as much as I do.
First up, in “Killer Kart” a supermarket shopping cart takes on a voracious personality and IT MUST FEED! Director James Feeney crafts a fun-filled, action-packed WOD entry that I’m excited to showcase and happy to have kicking off the episode. It will certainly get all you WOD‘ers geared up for the rest of July’s episode.
“Strange Harvest”, directed by Stee McMorris, is batshit! A young man and woman lie naked, wrapped in what look like gigantic bacon toboggans, with no memory of how they got there, awaiting an unknown fate. I don’t know why but I loved this short. I think mostly on account of its absolute weirdness. Simple yet effectively entertaining and director McMorris doesn’t extend the run time any longer than is needed for this messed up trip!
Rounding out July is The Boxleitner Brothers‘ newest short, “Quitter”, which surrounds a woman seeking hypnotherapy to cure a smoking habit… amongst other things. Eerie lighting, great sound design, and some cool characters prove this film to be a great way to keep fans eager for what WOD has in store for them in August!
We’re nearing our three year anniversary here at World of Death and I want to thank everyone out there in our audience who has taken the time to check out the amazing independent content we curate. The indie horror filmmakers around the world appreciate your support and hope you continue to be entertained by the insanity and creepiness that is WORLD OF DEATH. Until next time…

Anna Faris & Regina Hall Promise ‘Scary Movie’ Will “Offend Everyone;” New Images Revealed
The Wayans are out to cancel the Cancel Culture with Scary Movie, and the cast assures it will do just that.
“They sort of have an across-the-board style,” Anna Faris tells EW. “It’s always been a part of the Wayans Brothers, their electricity. ‘Can we offend you? Will you still love us? Come on, you still love us, don’t you?'”
Regina Hall concurs, promising the “boundary-pushing” sixth installment in the horror parody franchise will “offend everyone.”
EW has shared a batch of behind-the-scenes images from Scary Movie, which hits theaters June 5 via Paramount.
Faris and Hall are joined by fellow franchise favorites Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, and Jon Abrahams in the legacy sequel.
The ensemble includes Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, Sydney Park, Kenan Thompson, and Felissa Rose.
Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) directs from a script by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, original Scary Movie director Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans (Scary Movie 2), and Rick Alvarez (A Haunted House).
The film will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final.
Scary Movie launched in 2000, followed by Scary Movie 2 in 2001. The Wayans’ involvement ended there, but the series continued with 2003’s Scary Movie 3, 2006’s Scary Movie 4, and 2013’s Scary Movie 5.
