One of my favorite things last year was Netflix’s “The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell,” a unique and incredibly charming baking/crafts show that could best be described as “The Munsters” meets Martha Stewart meets “Pee-wee’s Playhouse.” Unfortunately, Netflix cancelled the series after just one season, but McConnell is already back with a new show!
“From the Mind of Christine McConnell” just launched today, a brand new monthly YouTube series where McConnell creates and documents unusual projects, from cake-decorating to shoe-making. In the first episode, McConnell kicks off the web series by transforming a 1970s pull-out couch into an Edwardian-style sofa, and you can check that video out below.
“I have loved sharing my art since I was a kid and am so thrilled to have an outlet to showcase the variety of different skills I’ve cultivated since that time,” says McConnell. “This new series (in addition to offering Patreon subscriptions) seems like the ideal way I can continue doing what I love, while also continuing to give you the best of what I have to offer!”
