One of last year’s most fun little treats was the Netflix series “The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell,“ a highly unique and totally charming baking show that could best be described as “The Munsters” meets Martha Stewart meets “Pee-wee’s Playhouse.” The series was set in McConnell’s home, which she shares with an ornery mummy cat named Rankle and a sex-crazed raccoon named Rose, along with a handful of other creatures. It was part baking show and part sitcom, and it quickly became a new obsession for many of us here on BD.
Sadly, we’ve learned via McConnell today, it will not return for a second season.
McConnell just tweeted, “I’m very sad to say, I’ve been told there won’t be another season of The Curious Creations.”
“Thank you to everyone who watched and has supported the series. Thank you to Henson, Wilshire, Netflix and the amazing people who made the show with me. I’m so grateful.”
