The month of August is drawing to a close, and you know what that means. Yes, the Blair Witch draws nearer for Xbox and PC players, and if the latest footage for Bloober Team’s game is anything to go by, she’s going to be making sure you have a really horrible end to the Summer.
The latest trailer for Blair Witch is titled ‘Insanity’ and focuses on the story of the game, which looks like it will be taking in a rather iconic location from the original film as you fight to stay alive in the woods.
For fans of Bloober Team’s visual trickery in Layers of Fear and Observer, it does very much seem to be present and correct in Blair Witch as well, with ghostly flashbacks, crazy scenery changes, and lots of VHS-style static. It may be a relatively straightforward task to look for a missing child in the woods, but in these woods, you’ll be lucky to come back yourself, and if you do, you’ll not be the same.
Blair Witch is out on Xbox One and PC on August 30. Blair Witch will join the Xbox Games Pass two days after its release.
