As many have pointed out over the years, there’s something inherently nightmarish about Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, wherein a group of children meet existentially terrifying fates while locked inside a chocolate factory by a candy-obsessed madman. Of course, none of the children actually die, but they’re essentially knocked off one-by-one throughout the film.
So what if Willy Wonka, well, *was* a gory, rated “R” horror movie?
The visual effects artists over at Corridor have just turned the family-friendly classic into a straight up horror movie with Wonky Willy, a 6-minute video that digitally alters clips from the 1971 film and makes several standout moments a whole lot more gruesome. For starters, Wonky Willy kicks off with little Charlie Bucket murdering a man and stealing his Golden Ticket.
From there, things get *really* crazy…
