Hellraiser fans will be excited to hear that horror icon Doug Bradley has launched his own YouTube channel while in quarantine, with the promise that the channel will be the official home for “videos of Doug reading short stories, poetry, and general musings.” Indeed the first videos to make their way onto the channel see Bradley reading a classic horror novel.
In a series of videos, Doug Bradley will be reading the entirety of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, originally published way back in 1818. As Bradley notes, we all know the story of Dr. Frankenstein and his Monster, but how many us have actually read the book? He muses, “It seems to me that this is one of the most well-known, least-read stories in the world.”
So why not read it while you’re sitting at home in quarantine this month? Better yet, why not sit back, relax, and let one horror icon read another horror icon’s masterpiece to you.
