In a perfect world, the plan was for David Gordon Green’s Halloween Kills to release on October 16, but alas the sequel to 2018’s Halloween has been bumped all the way to next year due to the pandemic. Coming along to fill that gap, Halloween mega-fan Jimmy Champane has gotten together with friends and fellow YouTubers to make a Halloween Kills fan film.
And so you don’t go without Michael this Halloween, they’re releasing it on October 16!
A collaboration between Champane, Berleezy, Oddest of the Odd, Physical Gamerz and Never Hike Alone director Vincente DiStanti from Womp Stomp Films (who’s playing Michael Myers), the fan film has been given its first teaser trailer today, which comes with some insights from Champane. The fan film will be posted to Jimmy’s YouTube channel on the 16th.
“We all went through so much effort to make sure every costume you see in this movie is as close to the ones you saw in Halloween 2018 as possible,” says Champane. “We worked super hard to make sure this movie can exist in the same universe as Halloween [1978], Halloween 2018, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends.”
