More Shark, Even More Bikini in New ‘Shark Night 3D’ Stills
A slew of new stills have hit international waters from Relativity’s Shark Night 3D, which feature more shark and more of Sara Paxton in a bikini. Ain’t nothing wrong with that!
The David R. Ellis-directed horror pic that stars Sinqua Walls, Chris Carmack, Alyssa Diaz, Joel David Moore, Sara Paxton, Dustin Milligan and Katharine McPhee opens in theaters September 2. It’s being described as “Jaws for the 3D generation.”
“The story revolves around seven male and female college friends who spend a weekend at a lake house in Louisiana’s Gulf area. When their vacation quickly becomes a nightmare of hellish shark attacks, unheard of in freshwater lakes, they soon discover that the sharks are part of a sick, greedy plan on the part of several locals.”
Emily Bennett and Justin Brooks, the married writing-directing duo behind the pandemic horror movie Alone With You, are back with the new horror movie Blood Shine.
Blood Shine is coming to theaters, VOD, and Digital on August 21 from Dark Sky Films.
Set in a desolate expanse of upstate New York, Blood Shine centers around Clara, a religious zealot who worships light in lonely, sacred rituals. When problematic horror director Brighton West travels upstate to finish the screenplay for his next film, a chance encounter with Clara leads him into a hallucinatory web of faith, flesh, and the sublime.
Bennett also stars in the film, in addition to writing and directing with Brooks.
Brendan Sexton III (Session 9), David Call (Insidious: The Red Door), Larry Fessenden (You’re Next), and Toby Poser (Recluse, Hellbender) also star.
“We are thrilled to bring Blood Shine to North American audiences,” added Dark Sky executive vice president Greg Newman. “Emily Bennett and Justin Brooks have created a daring and visually arresting film that expands the boundaries of folk horror and really delivers.”
Producers include Aaron B. Koontz via Paper Street Pictures (Shelby Oaks, Scare Package) and Alexander Schepsman, Garrett Fennelly and Zeus Kontoyannis via Zeus Pictures.
Ashleigh Snead and Cameron Burns serve as co-producers for Paper Street. Michael McFadden, G. Riley Mills, and Matt Sullivan executive produce.
