TV: This October ‘Chiller 13: Horror’s Creepiest Kids’
This October, Chiller dares you to dim the lights, grab your security blanket and prepare yourself for the next chapter in the popular Chiller 13 series. “Chiller 13: Horror’s Creepiest Kids” premieres Friday, October 28 @ 8 pm ET/PT. The 90-minute special is the perfect primer for Halloween, counting down the top terrifying moments in horror film history and featuring some of the most sinister little devils ever to appear on the silver screen.
Who will Chiller crown the creepiest kid? Will it be Danny Torrance repeating “redrum” in The Shining or the frightening jerky death walk of Samara Morgan in The Ring, or the head-spinning demon child Regan McNeil in The Exorcist?
Chiller’s panel of horror experts includes actors Nolan Gould (Modern Family and the upcoming Chiller original movie Brian Keene’s Ghoul), Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan), Miko Hughes (Pet Sematary and the upcoming Chiller original movie Steve Niles’ Remains) and Rachel Potter (The Addams Family on Broadway), as well as Michael Gingold (Fangoria Managing Editor), Brian Collins (Bloody-Disgusting.com), writer Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) and film director Mary Lambert (Pet Sematary). Chiller 13: Horror’s Creepiest Kids is produced by Emmy Award-winning company Associated Television International.
Chiller 13: Horror’s Creepiest Kids follows the chilling success of 2010’s countdown special Chiller 13: The Decade’s Scariest Movie Moments, which included Saw, Hostel, Drag Me To Hell, The Descent and The Ring. The program drew approximately 3 million viewers to the network over its airings, almost one third were new to Chiller prime.

‘Backrooms’ Heads Home to Digital Next Week
Are you ready to go back?
After a record-breaking box office run and an extended cut re-release, A24 and director Kane Parsons’ Backrooms is heading home to Digital.
Backrooms will be available to rent or buy this Tuesday, July 14.
In the film, Chiwetel Ejiofor stars in Backrooms as the owner of Cap’n Clark’s Ottoman Empire, who discovers a strange doorway in the basement of the furniture showroom. He sets out to explore the mysterious, liminal space, walking headfirst into a creepypasta nightmare.
Renate Reinsve (A Different Man) also stars in Backrooms.
Will Soodik wrote the screenplay.
I wrote in my review, “Backrooms is at once complex and sparse, but never repetitive. It might be set in 1990, but it effectively captures modern anxieties and isolation in a way that frequently makes your skin crawl. While the journey ultimately loses steam by its cryptic end, Parsons’ visual representation of the human psyche disturbs like no other.”
YouTube prodigy Kane Parsons makes his feature directorial debut based on his creepypasta-inspired video series, which debuted in 2022 and has amassed over 190 million views to date.
