Tobin Bell ‘Haunted’ By Victor Salva!
Off the heels of our insane contest to win a trip to set, Bloody Disgusting got exclusive word that award-winning film and television actor Tobin Bell – best known as “Jigsaw” in the Saw franchise – has joined the cast of the Victor Salva (Rosewood Lane, Jeepers Creepers) directed Haunted, from Producer Charles Agron. Bell joins previously announced cast member Leslie-Anne Down (Rosewood Lane) and introduces Luke Kleintank (“Bones”) in his first feature role. Anthony Rey Perez (“Don’t Pass Me By”), Alex McKenna (“90210”), Zack Ward (“In My Pocket”) and Max Gail (“Gary Unmarried”) co-star.

An early synopsis teased: “The Beast is forbidden to ever enter the human world – only a mortal son could invite him. On his 23rd birthday Nick is summoned by his mother (Leslie-Anne Down) to the asylum where she has been institutionalized since his childhood. Hoping that her request to see him is a sign of improvement, Nick is stunned by her revelation that the father he thought was dead is really alive. He is alive and may know the origin of Nick’s terrible gift. Nick sets out to find his father with his best friend Ryan (Anthony Rey Perez) and girlfriend Eve (Alex McKenna). The trio are soon frightened and alarmed as every road they take on the journey leads them back to the same abandoned mansion – a house that only existed in Nick’s childhood imagination or so he thought. A house in a town that no map connects. Finally succumbing to the will of the house, Nick becomes embroiled in a battle with a dark figure (Tobin Bell). What started as a simple road trip soon turns into a terror-filled journey, full of horrifying twists and brutal surprise.”
Haunted, produced by Charles Agron Productions in Association with Blue Horse Productions is the first feature project under the newly formed Charles Agron Productions banner.

Salva reunites with director of photography Don E. FauntLeroy (Jeepers Creepers I & II) for the thriller. Haunted is written by Agron and Salva from a story by Charles Agron, and is produced by Agron, Salva and FauntLeRoy.

New Documentaries Explore the Cult Legacies of ‘The Keep’ and ‘Wolfen’; Watch the Trailers Now [Exclusive]
Undersung werewolf gem Wolfen and Michael Mann’s The Keep get the spotlight in a pair of feature documentaries acquired by Antenna Releasing.
A World War II Fairy Tale, which covers the infamous production of and reception to The Keep, will receive a limited theatrical release in October, followed by a TVOD release on Apple/Amazon. The Keep will also screen as a double feature for some showings.
For Uncovering Wolfen, Antenna eyes a limited theatrical release for 2027. Both films are currently available for booking via Antenna prior to their theatrical and digital releases.
Both documentaries are directed by Stewart Buck, who co-helms with Stéphane Piter on A World War II Fairy Tale.
“We at Antenna are obsessed with film history,” said Chief Acquisitions Officer Billy Ray Brewton. “Stewart has done such a remarkable job of really diving into the deepest recesses of how these films were made and, in doing so, has created the definitive histories of both projects.”

Released in 1983, Michael Mann’s The Keep was a notorious box office bomb, critically lambasted and all but forgotten for years, save for the fascination with Tangerine Dream’s iconic score. In recent years, the film has enjoyed a bit of a resurgence and is widely considered a cult classic, though director Michael Mann and many cast members refuse to acknowledge it.
Wolfen, on the other hand, was critical success but was overshadowed heavily by its flashier 1981 siblings An American Werewolf in London and The Howling. It’s also a trailblazer for socio-political horror, and the doc will explore that via the craftspeople who made it.
