[SXSW ’12] Grab A Chainsaw And Rev Up For The Latest ‘[REC] 3 Genesis’ Trailer!
Premiering at the SXSW Film Festival next month, below you’ll find a delicious new international trailer for Paco Plaza’s [REC]3 Genesis, the gore-ifying sequel that will then open in Spain on March 30. We’re the first to add the English-subbed version, which can be enjoyed by reading on.
The third film is said to break out of the found footage mold, you can kind of see it in the trailers.
“Koldo and Clara are about to celebrate the most important day of their lives: their wedding.
Everything appears to be running smoothly and the bride and groom and their families are enjoying a wonderful day; that is until some of the guests start showing signs of a strange illness. Before they know what’s happening, the bride and groom find themselves in the middle of a hellish ordeal, as an uncontrollable torrent of violence is unleashed on the wedding.
Amidst the chaos, Koldo and Clara become separated and begin a desperate search for one another. What started off as an idyllic day quickly descends into a nightmare of the worst kind…”
Director Takashi Yamazaki (Godzilla Minus One) has got a handful of projects in the works, including this year’s Godzilla Minus Zero and 2028’s Grandgear, and Deadline reports this afternoon that Yamazaki will also be directing a mysterious film titled Nue.
20th Century landed the hot project from director Takashi Yamazaki.
The film is being described as “an original epic,” with Ridley Scott producing.
“Plot details are being kept under wraps,” Deadline notes in their report.
Scott Free’s Ridley Scott and Michael Pruss will produce alongside Keiichiro Moriya and Go Abe from Robot Communications, and Toho-Tombo’s Georgina Pope, as well as Amie Horiuchi.
