VHS box art is something of a lost art form. DVD and Blu-Ray covers just aren’t the same as VHS boxes. Filled with listings of all of the special features, there isn’t as much room to have fun with DVD covers. VHS boxes had more room to play around, and they were more fun to look at. On top of that, VHS boxes had to be good in order to grab your attention at the local video store. So I thought it might be fun to look back at some of those old VHS covers from various horror franchises and rank the box art for each one! First up is going to be the Child’s Play franchise. Just a heads up: I left out Seed of Chucky and Curse of Chucky since they were never released on VHS. Also, for full disclosure, I was inspired to make this list after checking out a similar ranking of A Nightmare on Elm Street VHS boxes over on the Dinosaur Dracula blog.
