Awesome Monster & good visual effects.
I still have nightmares. This is the true boogey Man.
I liked it, the monster was scary and Justin Long was so cute! lol
It was a preety good and entertaining horror movie, and is great compared to most horror movies today.
i found this movie to be somewhat scary a little gore whats not to like the “monster” thing was pretty scary good effects and the actors were pretty good never thought i see justin long in a horror movie though
Amazing creature. Most iconic since Freddy. the movie was so classicly filmed. Like a Hitchcock, but not as good. but, it was still pretty close.
I love the scene in the car where the pop version of the song was playing and you see the Creeper ontop of the car behind them. CLASSIC
Entertaining.
(though what in the hell would compel you to do the things those kids did, honestly)
I loved the concept of the Creeper. This movie was great in my perspective. The acting was good, the plot was pretty good, could have used a little more blood and gore, but overall was good. The Creeper’s car’s horn was spooky as shit. I loved it.
could have been betttter
This is a good movie that has great FX, oh and if ya own it go look and see what the creeper guy looks like without make-up in the extras …..
one of the greatest horrors this century but the sequel was so shitty
yeah i liked this movie it had some creepy parts too it but i think it would have been better if he stayed with the jacket on instead of off
The name of the movie really threw me off. Jeepers Creepers is a pretty lame name. However the same can not be said about this movie. The Creeper is a really cool villian. His car is badass. Had a lot of creepy moments. Very good movie.
Jeepers creepers is a very good evil creature thriller. The acting was really, really good justin long did a really good job. The creature was bad ass, he looked realistic and the fact that when he is injured or missing a limb he eats people to regain that body part was wicked. It looked awesome when the little claws shot up on his head and you see webbed skin between them. His axe and weapons were kick ass and when he ate the tounge of the decapitated head that made me cringe. The storyline was cool and the build up til you saw the creature was nicely done. The gore was good although there wasn’t much. The ending was one of the best horror movie endings ever! My fav scene was when the cop got his heart ripped out, that was gory and realistic at the same time. Overall this movie was mad ass and I highly recommend watching it if your a serious horror fan. A must see and I give it 8/10.
Great movie! It is just a fun movie and the “Creeper” truly is creepy! The two main characters are enjoyable and you really feel for them throughout their rough-goings. Wow, 2001? Time flies.
one of the greatest horror movies of the decade so far. Gina Phillips was really great and so was Justin Long. The creeper was wesome and the movie actually scared me. The ending was brilliant and i sure hope Gina returns in the third. The second sucked.
Yeah, this movie doesn’t seemed to be talked about much but the first time I seen this, I was terrified. I was 11 too, so that may help. But it was scary as hell and still is to me. Great movie. Too bad they screwed up the sequel though.
Shitbuster.
a realy fun different kind of a movie i realy enjoy the creeper and the movie moved along at a nice pace plus the bad guy wins so it was all good with me.
love these movies…and love the creeper…so scary to be hunted by a flying monster!
a strange but enjoyable horror movie.
the creature is down-right awesome.
the ending was pretty scary and it will most likey stick with you.
a very scary horror film.
check it out.
Better than I expected it to be, but at the same time I wanted more. Overall its a good kind of slowpaced horror flick. The creature is pretty cool and vicious. The end is fucked up and it sent chills down my spine when I heard Justin Long screaming with agony. Recommended.
I truly love this movie, it reminds me of those classic creature features that I watched as a kid.
Awesome! The actors are great & the whole movie is just completely creepy.
This is truly a great film. The creeper is well creepy. The way he is introduced is good. You don’t see his face at first. He looks like a farmer when you first see him. And his van has a horn that would shit anyone up. The ending is good to the film. You eventually find out what he really is. Amd learn the truth about his strange diet. And when he steals those eyes from the kid is some seriously fucked up shit. This film is Great!!
I enjoyed this movie a lot. But the Creeper lost his “coolness” towards the end when he revealed himself.
This 2001 horror movie starring Justin Long, in one of his first roles, is a real gem that deserves some attention. “Jeepers” was directed by Victor Salva, who also directed the 2003 sequel, shows a good eye for tension and horror. This film got financial backing from famed “Godfather” director Francis Ford Coppola’s company American Zoetrope.
Darry (Long) and Trish (Gina Phillips) are brother and sister driving home from college on spring break. They have great chemistry and work really well off each other. Driving a classic car though the heartland of America they argue like any brother and sister would. After a bathroom break, an older rusted out truck drives up on them like a bat out of hell, blasting its horn and tailgating. After getting passed they wind up seeing the truck further down the road. There is man dumping something that looks like a body wrapped in a sheet down a sewer pipe. They are spotted by the man and are eventually run off the road.
Darry and Trish go back to the pipe to investigate and make sure that nobody is still alive. At times this movie can be self referential, in that the characters know they are in a horror movie and try to outsmart the basic stereotypes of the genre. “Scream” from 1996 was the movie that set the standard for this. After hearing voices, Darry fall down the pipe to find the grotesque lair of “The Creeper.” The lair is the basement of an old abandon church. Darry emerges from the lair and they drive off to get help at a local café. They don’t find much help except from a psychic that mysteriously calls them on a pay phone. The whole plot of the movie is kind of cheesy and unbelievable, but the characters really save this movie and make it into a surprise hit.
As explained by the psychic, every 23rd spring for 23 days the Creeper feeds. It sniffs out certain people and eats particular organs that its body absorbs and becomes apart of him. The Creeper reveals that he has bat like wings, and upon close inspection he looks a bit like a meaner version of the “Creature from the Black Lagoon”. As I mentioned in the last review cops are really not much help when it comes to these kinds of movies. There is a big final battle at the police station where the Creeper takes over. I won’t reveal the ending but it is a little different that what I expected.
I really enjoyed this film a lot.
VERY SCARY! Im watching right now…..freaked out.
an enjoyable monster movie. its good effects and acting story also just shy of movie nirvana
…
Not the best movie I
It takes ALOT to creep me out, but for some reason this just creeped me the F out. It most definetly made me afraid of the country. The idea was fresh and original and how could you not love justin long. Also the creeper is one of my favourite movie monsters, i love his look and his MO.Overall i love this movie and ill keep watching it over and over because its fun and scary at the same time. Worth a watch!
This has been played on basic cable about a million times. I watch it every time. It reminds me of many other films, especially “Duel” and for some reason “Phantasm”. I really like it. Good acting and characters as well.
very scary movie,I still have nightmares with the creeper.highly recommended!!!
Decent film been done before.
A great story and awesome creature make this flick a worthy watch but some subplots slow the film down at times.
Great film! It’s much better than the sequel. The Creeper is one sexy beast! I loved it and I highly recommend it!
Jeepers Creepers is one of the most effective horror movies in the 21st century. This movie has a really scary and creepy plot. And from the beginning this movie had me from start to finish it is an intense horror film. I like the suspense of this movie so far. This movie is like a throwback of the 80′s slasher films. The great things about this movie is that the suspense is unflinching and unsettling at the same time. This movie has all of the suspense and this movie has some of the greatest kills I personally like the last part when the guy with a flower tattoo in the stomach gets his eyes ripped out that was a really gruesome scene even the two cops demise was also nasty. Director Victor Salva was really good with his directing in the original Jeepers Creepers and he has the ability to create suspense and he also has the ability to scare audiences. This movie also had some great performances from the casts the two main leads were really good and the lead antagonist who is the creeper he is really scary and creepy at the same time in every moment of the film and this movie doesn’t use any CGI that’s what’s good about this film there’s no CGI at all and Victor Salva knows what he’s doing so far he knows that CGI is really bad for most movies now a days. Overall Jeepers Creepers is an effective horror film and the best horror film because the film doesn’t use any CGI at all just practical special effects.
I really liked Jeepers Creepers because it gave a vibe like most other horror films weren’t to give. It was new and it made me feel for the characters in away that i could almost feel their fears
fantastic!
Nice little horror flick. I recommend it. Part 2 is pretty fun too.
I truly adore movies that make it hard to sleep right after you’ve seen them. The movie ends and you’re left going “oh god, I will never turn off the lights again.” This is one of those movies. Seldom is there a movie where the sight of the monster is scarier than the absence or hint of one, but the creature is… wow. Amazing.
Quick question: Why did Mr.King choose not to sue for this? This is IT. Shamelessly, this movie is IT.
Aside from the lack of focus on children… but I think we all know why Mr.Salva would choose to avoid touching pedophile themes for this production
