This movie wasn’t all that bad. It’s not something I would recommend you go out and buy, but if you can find it on TV, give it a watch. You’d be pleasantly surprised. Not to mention, the ladies in the movie ain’t that bad looking. So even if you don’t like the movie, at least you have that goin’ for you.
If your looking for an actual interesting movie about voodoo, try wes craven’s the serpent and the rainbow.
I’m glad I didn’t buy this first and that I rented it first. It wasn’t the worst movie I’ve ever seen but I wouldn’t go out and buy it for my collection unless I found it in the bargain bin.
don waste ur time watching this movie seriously..its bad but at least watchit with no care … didn like it
personally, i liked the movie. i thought that it was interesting. it had good and and the picture quality was great. maybe it’s b/c i’m from louisiana, but i would recommend this movie for anyone who likes watching voodoo based horro
This wasn’t a good or terrible movie, a little in between. Some of the kills weren’t bad and by the time you got to the end, they ran out of ideas. Worth watching once because it’s not that terrible.
thia movie was ok it looked cool but it didn’t feel scary or anything it’s a ok waste of time but it’s only worth watching one time….for free don’t rent it it’s you go to the video store =|
So So. It wasn’t bad nor good. It was just a average horror flick. Teens dying because of an evil source. The plot was very complex with a few good death scenes but it just failed to catch my attention for the whole time. Glimpses of the movie reminded me of other movies but, i guess that just means i’ve watched alot. I’m guessing it was aimed at younger audiences because it was teen oriented and well I didn’t think it was that crash hot.
The plot was complex, and yet again another horror with great scenes that weren’t acted to their potential. The death scenes are what stood out for me. Nothing makes me wanna watch a movie when i’ve heard that there is a really good scene where someone is dying. What i hated about the plot was it was too much storyline with many unanswered questiones and plot holes.
The acting was ok. Bijou Phillips, although dies early on has a unique voice and when she screams it seems too fake, but ultimately she does the same scream in Hostel 2. Laura Ramsey was better in The Ruins, but her effort was watchable.
Overall Venom, is a teen oriented horror flick that won’t keep your attnetion the whole time. My rating is 2.5/5
thought it might be a fun slasher but i was wrong.everything in this was recycled and had already been done better over and over again!
This movie wasn’t that bad, but it could have been much better.
Its not a horror movie its a horable movie. Not even the apearence of Method Man could help this movie
Very boring and typical slasher film. Not good at all. The slasher was stupid and looked like a burnt vampire from Blade.
Wasn’t good wasn’t great just an average horror film
AWESOME AWESOME SLASHER!I freakin love this movie! Its mindless but damn its a good time!
a pretty good slasher, the ending rocked, some parts were really tense and some were bad, overall well worth watrching if you just want to see a slasher
This by no means, a bad movie. I really liked it!
It was fun, exciting, a bit brutal and sexy (Yes, Ray & Sean are HOT!) Overall, a really good film.
Watched this flic last night, and although all the characters seemed like cardboard cut outs, it was a fun film with a a cool villian. Loved the ending!
The Ultimate Movie Review! – http://tss5078.blogspot.com – @tss5078 – How bad was Venom? It was so bad, that they couldn’t even get things to jump out and scare you at the right time! It absolutely kills me! The story is fairly original with definite potential, the cast is fairly well known, and the movie was just awful! Why? Take your pick between bad writing, cheap special effects, no character development, and a really stupid ending. I like the whole Louisiana Creole background and the mysterious voodoo religion, that no one believe in anymore, but they just didn’t take it anywhere. It’s 15 minutes of interesting and an hour and 15 minutes of cheesy slasher bull shit, with typical lines, no eye candy, no comedy, nothing! It was quite boring and the ending just… wow! I don’t know if it was rushed or if they just didn’t care, but it was so fucking stupid!! Venom could have been a lot more, but it wasn’t anything worthwhile.
